Space Station: China opens a new chapter in space exploration. Three astronauts landed on Saturday at the newly built space center. The Shenzhou-13 spacecraft was launched from the Jikuan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert in Mongolia on a Long March 2F rocket. The rocket crashed into Ningyi just after 12 noon on Saturday. The spacecraft then set sail at 6:30 a.m. and landed at the Yangon Space Station. The astronauts stay and work here for 183 days (approximately 6 months). This is the longest space mission ever with respect to China. Tiangong means paradise in Chinese.

Also present were Hai Shai Gaizigong, Wang Yaping, and Yi Gwanfu. They test station technology. Do space walks. Jai will be the Mission Commander. He made China’s first spacewalk in 2008. The Chinese government gave him the title of space hero.

This is the first space trip for Yi Gwanfu. He is currently a second-class astronaut in the military, the astronaut brigade. A female astronaut named Wang Yaping is also here. She received the award in 2013 for participating in a mission. She was China’s first female astronaut to fly into space. She was also the first Chinese woman to do a space walk.
