CM Jagan Review on Electricity: Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday conducted a review on power issues in Andhra Pradesh. How to get out of the coal shortage crisis? What are the available alternatives? Reviewed with superiors as to possible solution to the problem. Power generation from thermal power plants and coal reserves were reviewed with the authorities. The CM inquired about the coal reserves currently available. Authorities have been directed to take necessary steps to run the thermal centers at full capacity. Want to buy coal reserves anywhere in the country. There is no shortage of funds for the purchase of coal in AP, the CM said.
CM Jagan wants to start production immediately at new units in Krishnapatnam and VTPSS. As a result, 1600 MW of electricity was ordered to be made available. Singareni was advised to coordinate with the company and bring in coal as per the requirements. It wants to be in constant coordination with the concerned ministries and agencies at the Center. CM Jagan directed the authorities to take action without power cuts.
