Huzurabad By Election
So far, one calculation .. Now the Central Election Commission says another calculation. The Central Electoral Commission has become serious over the violation of the Electoral Code by political parties in areas where by-elections are being held across the country. The EC expressed dissatisfaction over the conduct of programs in adjoining constituencies to have an impact on the constituency where the elections are taking place. The EC clarified that the rules apply across the district in the constituency where by-elections are taking place. Ordered that the Election Rules be strictly adhered to in those areas.
Easy announced that these rules will be applicable in Huzurabad and Badwell in Telugu states. Huzurabad is signaling that something is wrong with the ongoing by-elections. It is doubtful that the election code enforced by the EC will be followed only within the constituency and that cash flow from the surrounding villages and districts will continue unabated.
In view of these developments, the rules laid down by the Election Commission in the by-elections are not limited to constituencies. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has directed that the code of conduct and code of conduct be enforced where by-elections are taking place. He further added that political parties should not play a direct role in influencing the candidates in the by-elections. The EC also directed the district authorities to ensure that political activities outside the constituency are against the electoral norms.
