Heart Beat: The biggest risk of a heart attack .. Researchers have designed a balloon to control the heart rate!

Heart Beat

Heart Beat: An increase in heart rate directly affects the heart. In scientific parlance this is called atrial fibrillation. If left untreated for a long time, it can lead to stroke, blood clots or shortness of breath. To counter this, scientists designed a balloon in the shape of a grape. This device works to control irregular heartbeats.

It is approved by the UK Health Organization NHS. Heart patients can soon be treated with balloon devices. In the UK, 1.4 million people suffer from irregular heartbeat. The new balloon device can make a big difference in the treatment of patients.

Why is the heart rate not normal?

These cases can appear at any age. However, atrial fibrillation is more common in patients 65 years of age or older. There are many reasons for this. For example, arterial disease, high blood pressure, lung disease, viral infection, insomnia, caffeine-tobacco or alcohol consumption.

How the balloon works

This balloon is equipped with 10 types of electrodes. The surgery is performed after the patient is given local anesthesia. During surgery, this balloon is inserted into the heart through an artery. It carries oxygenated blood to the heart and damaged nerves. The sensors in this balloon monitor the electrical signal of the heart. Through the balloon, heat is distributed to the area where the heartbeat has become irregular. Scientists claim that with the help of this technique the heartbeat can be regulated in just 10 seconds.

That is why this technique is effective.

Dr. Malcolm Finley, a cardiologist at the Barts Heart Center in London, said the surgery would take place after the patient was given local anesthesia. It is said to reduce the risk of complications in patients. Apart from this, he revealed that the patient would recover quickly and could be discharged from the hospital in a day. Similarly this technique is also very accurate in terms of treatment, he said.
