Foxconn Electric Car: Foxconn Technology Company, which supplies mobiles from Apple and other global brands, has announced that it is entering the electric vehicle (EV) market. It said it would make EVs under contract similar to smartphones for global automobile companies. Inaugurating the cars at the company’s Technology Day event, Chairman Young Liu said Foxconn manufactures cars and buses for companies in many countries, including China, North America and Europe.
“Clients can change their design and features to suit the market,” said Young Lu, chairman of the company. Foxconn, better known as the ‘Hi-Precision’ industry, is in talks with a number of reputable companies for the production of electric vehicles. The company has announced that it will launch the ‘This Sedan’ model developed by the Italian company Pininfaria in 2023. The five-seater Model E can travel up to 750 km on a single charge.
The first electric bus made by Foxconn can travel almost 400 kilometers on a single charge. It could hit the roads next year. According to Taiwan News, the bus travels at a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour. It also has advanced features.
