Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Elections: The sector is preparing for another election battle in the state of Andhra Pradesh. There was finally a shift in the Jagan government over the co-opted elections. The government has expressed readiness for the elections in the wake of the recent High Court notices issued on a lawsuit filed alleging non-conduct of co-op elections with Corona Saku. It also revealed that a counter will be filed with the court.
The government has appointed three-member committees to the PACs, seven members to the DCCB and DCMA, and a person-in-charge to Opcob, and is reportedly preparing to hold elections by the end of their term (January 31, 2022). The notification was issued in the first week of December and it seems that it is planning to hold elections in January.
