Amarinder Singh: Former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh has given full clarity on his political future activities. He put a full stop to the campaign going on for some time now that he was going to join the BJP .. He announced that he would form his own party. At the same time, he made it clear that he would ally with the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections in the state. He clarified that there would be seat adjustment with BJP and Akali split faction. Amarinder Singh, who met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi last month, had earlier announced that he would not join the BJP. He said he had discussed the farmers’ protests with Home Minister Amit Shah.
Amarinder Singh media adviser Raveen Thukral made a series of tweets that his new party would work for the welfare of Punjab, the welfare of the people of the state and the welfare of the concerned farmers.
Officially Amarindhar Singh is still in the Congress party. So far he has not resigned from the Congress party. The Congress supremacy made no comments on the latest developments. Punjab Minister Pargat Singh said he had earlier said that the captain had joined hands with the BJP and the Akali Dal. Eddewa said the BJP agenda was in the hands of the captain.
